JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Transportation Department as a Delivery Driver. This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Transportation Team with objectives including:

  • Safe and timely delivery and unloading of products to customers within an assigned route
  • Strict adherence to DOT Rules and regulations
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service

Daily assignments will include the following:

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip in accordance with DOT regulations and Company standards
  • Safely operate and deliver product within assigned route schedule using hand cart or by hand
  • Transport product up and down ramps and stairs to coolers and freeze
  • Place product in designated customer delivery area and restock if required
  • Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem solving skills; report customer issues immediately
  • Obey all traffic rules and immediately report accidents or damage; report repair issues immediately
  • Immediately notify (main office) for any delivery variance such as wrong or damaged product
  • Maintain sanitary conditions and meet hygiene requirements (INCLUDING MASK DURING COVID)
  • Check invoices, special instructions and manifest for credit terms or money owned at each stop
  • Collect, sign, have customer sign and correctly code all invoices and driver return sheets
  • Turn in reconciliation sheet along with collected funds and invoices to Driver Check-In on a daily basis
  • Operate a tractor trailer or straight truck in traffic and in variable weather conditions
  • Participate in formalized training and successfully pass evaluations

An ideal Transportation team member:

  • Is at least 21 years old
  • Must have a valid Driver License – Class A, Class B, or NON CDL with no more than 2 points
  • Meets all DOT requirements and is able to possess a medical card
  • Is able to read, write and communicate with internal team members and customers as it relates to the job
  • Must be able to demonstrate basic math skills
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to lift 20-100 lbs. repetitively

Hourly Pay Rate:

  • NON CDL competitive wages
  • CDL Class B competitive wages
  • CDL Class A competitive wages
  • Increases are determined and given based on ability after training
