
2025 marks a transformative chapter for Atlantic with the opening of our 160,000-square-foot North Canton Distribution Center—a custom-built environment engineered to support the evolving needs of the region’s foodservice industry. By investing in this modern hub, we are strengthening a foundation of quality established over six decades ago, proving that while our scale has grown, our dedication remains as focused as ever.
North Canton was specifically selected as our new home because it offers the prime location needed near major expressways to facilitate rapid logistics. The site provided the significant square footage required for a distribution center of this magnitude, featuring a building shell perfectly suited for the construction of specialized, multi-temperature cold rooms essential for modern food storage. This expansion serves as the center of our operational strength, running 24/7 and closing only for brief windows on Friday and Saturday nights to ensure our infrastructure enhances our ability to move smarter and respond faster.
Behind the Distribution
Inside our new walls, technology works hand in hand with expertise. On our busiest days, a dedicated workforce of 90 employees—comprising 67 warehouse and driving staff and 23 office personnel—manages the complex flow of inventory. We have significantly refined our approach to cold-chain integrity by utilizing nine separate zones, ranging from a 36-degree dock for receiving to 50 and 60-degree coolers for sensitive perishables.

Order Accuracy
Our state-of-the-art inventory systems allow us to process orders with greater precision than ever before. To eliminate errors, every item is scanned into the system during receiving and scanned again outbound to ensure order accuracy. This rigorous attention to detail extends to the final mile, where delivery drivers scan proof of delivery (POD) directly from their trucks, providing a dependable, transparent experience from our dock to your door.
